About us
Project and Consultancy Agency Wim van Hooff is an internationally operating consultancy and project management agency in the fields of subsidies and recreation & tourism. I specialize in advising, developing and preparing (European) fund applications for governments, non-profit institutions and the businesses. I also do consultancy in the field of recreation & tourism, such as establishing policy plans for municipalities and provinces, development plans for nature conservation organisations area managers and action and implementation plans for regions.
Project and Consultancy Agency Wim van Hooff has been active since 2001 and has a lot of (international) experience. Through this experience I have been trained in identifying, recognizing and formulating promising project ideas that appeal to the (European) funders and therefore have a greater chance to be awarded. I also use my experience to develop and supply tailor-made workshops and training courses and to prepare (longer-term) subsidy programs for governments.
I also gained a lot of experience in the field of recreation & tourism inland and abroad. My consultancy work is characterized by a high degree of practicability; I always investigate whether plans are practical and financially feasible when I am developing policy and implementation plans. Because I have knowledge of many funds, I can contribute to that financial feasibility.
This website outlines how I, often together with others, work, what my main activities are and what kind of projects and applications I realized in recent years. You will also find practical information about Project and Consultancy firm Wim van Hooff. You can also download our brochure (of Wiljan van Laarhoven and me) to read more about our products, knowledge and experience. Do you have questions? Let me know here and I will be pleased to make an appointment with you!
Background
I, Wim van Hooff, was born and raised in Breda (NL). After high school I studied general biology at the Radboud University Nijmegen (NL). My MSc specializations were ecology and environmental science. After my studies, I set up a travel agency called ‘SNP Nature Travels’ together with some of my fellow students. After ten years, when SNP had grown considerably and was flourishing, I wanted to gain other experiences. In the second half of the nineties, I worked for the South-Holland-South Regional Tourist Office (VVV), the South Holland Bureau for Tourism and the municipality of Oud-Beijerland. In that period, I was mainly occupied with boosting recreation and tourism in that region. At the beginning of 2001 I started for myself. Initially I focused mainly on consultancy work in recreation & tourism, later on I increasingly operated as consultant in the field of European subsidies.
Collaboration
As a one-man company, I work a lot with other consultants to respond as effectively as possible to innovations and trends in various sectors.
When it comes to (European) grant applications, I have been closely collaborating with Promint Project Management (www.promint.nl, of Wiljan van Laarhoven) for years. Based on our collective work experience in consulting within and for governments, institutions and companies, we can easily relate to our clients. In addition, our broad education and our diverse and complementary work experiences ensure that we have sufficient basic knowledge of various social and economic topics. This allows us to quickly delve into themes relevant for grant applications.
Up until now, Wiljan and I have successfully submitted over 30 applications (and with a success rate of 75%) for various European Interreg programs (such as the Flanders-Netherlands Border Region, 2 Seas and North-West Europe), the Dutch Operational Program for Regional Development (in particular OP-Zuid) and the Leader program. We also have experience with, among others, Urbact, Life, POP3 and UIA applications and with various national and provincial grants.
I also worked a lot with IDBBO / Theo de Bruin from Nijmegen (NL) (www.idbbo.nl). With Theo I (together under the name NL RNT) carried out many of the projects in the tourism-recreational sector in the past 18 years. These concern policy plans for various recreational organisations, marketing plans for, among others, the Wadden Islands, development and implementation plans for municipalities in Brabant, Drenthe, Friesland and Zeeland.
Since January 1, 2005, my consultancy agency has been located at Parkstraat 1b in Breda (NL). Three other independent advisors are also working from the same address, each with its own specialty, independently active. The advantage of this location is that we can share knowledge. Sometimes we join forces for projects, sometimes my colleagues act as a sparring partners. In addition to Promint Project Management, the offices include: Project Agency Vrolijks and Versteegen Support & Promotions.
Project office Vrolijks (from Rob Vrolijks) is a consultancy agency in the field of tourism and recreation. In recent years, this agency has developed into a specialist in the field of water sports in the Netherlands (www.vrolijks.nl). Versteegen Support & Promotions (from Sandra Versteegen) is a specialized agency that has been active since 1995 and has earned its spurs in driving and coordinating projects and partnerships in the tourism sector and hospitality industry (www.versteegensupport.nl).
