In this Interreg 2 Seas project (project period 2016-2019), 11 organizations joined forces to develop a cross-border innovation cluster and to create the necessary conditions for innovation in remote sensing and advanced data communication and processing based on the needs of 3 priority sectors nature, agriculture and water and infrastructure. A sustainable innovation cluster will result in cross-border cooperation in these sectors to achieve aggregation of requirements, will accelerate the creation of innovative remote sensing products and services, will lead to significant use of remote sensing and improved management of infrastructure and areas in the priority sectors, specifications within various national laws and a joint lobby for better regulation, which should create business opportunities. The project has a total budget of approximately € 3.2 million and receives a grant of more than € 1.9 million. At the request of the municipality of Woensdrecht, we aided to shape and substantiate this project and we have written the grant application. We supply some advice during implementation.
