In this Interreg Cross-Border project (duration 2017-2020), nature organisations, innovative companies and research institutes collaborate to exploit natural grass. To enable the exploitation of natural grass, which in this project is coming from the border region, mowing and transporting machines are adjusted and machines for processing are being further developed. Ultimately, the entire project results in a number of concrete business cases for products such as grass paper, insulation material, food for the livestock industry and fertilizers for sports facilities. The project was initiated by us, after which partners were sought and a subsidy application was written. Since the approval of this application, we have been supporting the partnership with its execution. The number of partners is 11, Natuurpunt from BE is LP, budget is more than € 5.4 million; grant is € 2.7 million.
