A strategic investment program has been drawn up for the province of Fryslân and the 11 Frisian Wadden municipalities. The aim of the program was “to strengthen the economic position of the tourist-recreational sector in the Wadden municipalities through targeted strategic investments.” The preparation of the program was done by consulting all involved and interested parties. Many parts of this plan are currently being implemented; various parts have been completed already.
